This signal pistol

Happy Firearm Friday!

"This signal pistol was built in Sydney Australia in 1942 by the Colonial Sugar Refinery for the Australian War Department. The style follows that of the English, Webley & Scott. The frame and outer barrel are a brass alloy, for low cost and corrosion resistance while using a gunmetal insert in the barrel to accommodate the pressure and heat generated by discharging the standard 1in signal cartridge.

The signal pistol was used by Australia, England and New Zealand by the end of World War 2"
